How it All Began...

Welcome to my very first blog!
(I guess you could say that I have finally caved in and decided to join the blog world.)

My name is Bethany Jex. I have no middle name, but if you would have met my five year old self she would have told you that my middle name is Diamond. Quiet a clever name if you ask me.

Mini Me
I am the youngest of four kids. I have one sister and two brothers. I am the proud aunt of three nephews and one niece. They are the cutest kids.

My family
Remy, Hudson, Liam, and Tea Jo
I have been married to my sweetheart for just over a year. I love him so much and love all the adventures we go on. I am so happy that I get to spend eternity with him. Tyson loves running, sports, and spending time with me (at least I hope that is one of his loves). He has ran two marathons and hopes to run a marathon in every state. He is going to school to become a sports journalist. He is one amazing man!

I don't think I will ever be able to run a marathon, but I do consider myself to be a triathlete. I completed my first triathlon last summer and I am signed up to do my second one this May. I had so much fun doing my first triathlon. I love to swim. My family calls me a fish because I never want to get out of the swimming pool.

I am currently going to school to become a nurse. I start nursing school at the DATC in May. I am so excited to be a nurse. It has been my dream to become a nurse since I was a little girl. It was a challenge to get into school but I have worked hard and am getting closer everyday to achieving my goal. I had one teacher describe to me that her definition of a nurse is a compassionate stranger. I think that is one of the main reason I want to be a nurse.

When I was 16, I moved with my parents to Charlotte North Carolina. My dad was called to serve as a mission president of The Charlotte North Carolina Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I grew to love the south and consider myself to be a southern bell, even though I only lived there for two years. It is my dream, hope, and greatest desire to move to North Carolina or anywhere in the south when we graduate from college.

I hope to use this blog as a way to keep my family and friends updated on my life adventures. I will leave you with a couple of my favorite quotes.
"Life isn't measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away"
"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow"
"Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."
